WordPress Theme Tutorial

In this tutorial I’ll show you how a WordPress theme comes together. I’ll walk you step by step through the html, css and WordPress PHP functions and how they work. I will use the default theme in WordPress to start out, but then will create more complicated themes as the tutorial continues.

Why is there ‘kubrick’, it is important or something? And thank you very much.

@MrAsacumvreau Kubrick was the name of the first WordPress theme. It is no longer installed in WordPress by default anymore. It’s just a theme

I mean in the code, i know what is kubric :D. It’s an argument, or in that way was the theme written with the name of the theme in the code? Fore example at the line with the date appears (y, m, d, ‘kubric’).

@MrAsacumvreau It helps translate the text by pointing toward the name of the theme in this situation being kubric. It’s probably the only part of WordPress that I don’t mess with because I only know 1 language.

excellent tutorial, but can i ask why you cut after almost every sentence? once i picked up on it, it got really annoying lol

@FreebieUndead I cut out every breath. If I didn’t the video would be twice as long. It’s just what I do that makes me different. I figured people would prefer to get a non stop stream of information without pauses. I always hated videos that dragged on. It works for some but not everyone

@Virulent87 Everything is pretty much the same. The only thing that needs changed is the horizontal menu and I covered that update in the tutorial named Cross Browser horizontal Menu. I plan to make a cross browser theme soon

Hello, I installed a WP theme from Themeforest called wpShow which is a video theme or vlog maybe and it has been a while and now I am not sure how to edit the header/logo area as well as just work with any parts of the blog. Can you point me towards any info that might help?

Nice tutorial. You are explaining everything pretty well.
By the way, we are making WordPress video tutorials ourselves.
If you are interested, maybe we can give you a video response? I think it would be interesting for your audience too.
