Steps to Building a Mailing List

Steps to Building a Mailing List

All successful webmasters are always talking about how valuable a mailing list is, but most of them neglect to teach everyone how to build a mailing list. Nowadays you can choose between both free and paid services to build your mailing list, and I’ll leave it up to you to choose your mailing list software. You will need one though so make sure you pick one and get familiar with it so you know what you’re doing. A mailing list is great to have because then you can email them all at once with promotions, specials and anything else you want to as long as it isn’t spam. If you have a big enough mailing lists then you can make thousands of dollars off each email that you send out. You generally send out an email to promote a product to sell as this is how you’ll make money. One key thing to remember is not to email your list to often as then they’ll unsubscribe and you’ll lose potential profit.

Once you have chosen your mailing list software you need to set-up a form on your website so that people can join your list. You’ll want to mention what you’ll offer in your newsletter emails so that people will want to join it. You can also offer a free report or eBook to people so that there more likely to join the mailing list. Many websites out there focus on just list building and there simply one page websites that giveaway something free in order for an email and name. You can do this on your website by creating a new page and setting up a little article for people to read. I find that you should always try offering something for free in exchange for the reader to join your mailing list as most people need a reason to join anything these days.

After you’ve set-up your subscriber page with the free gift and mailing list form then you now need to promote this page and build some links for it. Of course your website traffic should be able to clearly see on every page that you have a free gift offer in exchange for there email. The more noticeable the better as you want your readers to know it’s there. Apart from your website visitors you should also submit the new page to social bookmarking websites. This brings in a lot of traffic and since you’re offering something free many of them will submit there email for the freebie. You can also submit articles to article directories and in the resource box make sure you notify people that they can receive a free gift by going to your page and submitting there email.

Having a mailing list is so important to earn revenue online nowadays that I recommend everyone begin working on there mailing list immediately. Even if you don’t have much traffic right now that’s alright as you can still build your list slowly. You don’t need to send out emails until you reach at least one hundred subscribers though as you want to make it worth your while. If you wait though then you’re just throwing away potential people who would sign-up for your list and you can’t afford to do this. I suggest you get a mailing list software program as soon as possible and begin building your future.

Steps to Dominating a Niche with Blogs

Steps to Dominating a Niche with Blogs If you want to dominate a niche on the internet with blogs nowadays it’s completely possible and although it will require a lot work the payoff is huge. Not many webmasters or companies can say that they dominate there niche and it’s very difficult to do, but with the right planning you could do it. The first thing you need to do is choose your niche, which should be something you enjoy and are familiar with. Don’t choose a niche that is overcrowded with webmasters though because then ranking your blogs with become a lot more difficult and in some cases nearly impossible. You don’t want to compete against any big companies for search engine rankings, because most of the time there budget is a lot larger then your budget is and you don’t need that hassle. Once you a narrow down a niche that isn’t very competitive then you need to begin planning out your exact plan so that you can simply follow through on the plan. Also don’t expect to be dominating a niche in a week either as it takes time and hard work. The number one reason why webmasters don’t succeed is because they give up without allowing their websites enough time to establish themselves and earn money. Step One The first thing that you need to do is establish an authority blog, which should cover the entire niche. Your niche should be small enough that you can have an authority blog ranking for many of the terms in the niche. You should spend a couple months establishing this blog before moving much deeper into your network of blogs. Once you have some traffic and rankings then you can begin to expand. Step Two Once you have your authority blog established then you need to know break down your niche into anywhere from three to ten categories. You’ll know create a blog for each of those categories and begin adding content to them as much as possible in the beginning. Content is important on blogs and you need as much of it as possible so never think you’re writing too much. The traffic you get from these blogs should be targeted and could earn you some good money. Step Three In this step you’ll be creating small blogs that simply consist of only a few pages a piece. These blogs will be used to promote the different products in your niche. These are the small websites that you’ll be sending your blog traffic to in order to convert them into customers. Blogs can build up great search engine traffic and this is the best traffic to sell products to which is why you should send all your blog traffic to these websites. As these blogs age you’ll also begin getting traffic from search engines for the keywords you targeted. As you can see if you follow these three simple steps then you’ll be able to dominate a niche within one year pending the competition isn’t to stiff. You’ll need to of course spend long hours building links and traffic to the blogs in order to have any success, but if you do the work then the money will follow. Nothing is handed to you on a silver platter in the online world so always be willing to work for what you need or else find a typically 9-5 job now before you waste anymore time online.

Some Things to Watch Out for When Choosing a WordPress Theme

Some Things to Watch Out for When Choosing a WordPress Theme

There are literally hundreds of WordPress themes out there and the quality can vary markedly between different suppliers. Some of the more popular options in the marketplace at the moment include the Thesis Theme, the Genesis Theme, Woo Theme, Elegant Themes or even that vast range of themes available through Theme Forest.

It’s important before deciding on a particular theme supplier to have a look at the pricing plans they have on offer and compare these to the rest of the marketplace. Ideally, a consumer shouldn’t be spending more than $39 on a premium WordPress theme however some themes such as the Thesis Theme do offer extra functionality for the additional cost. It’s also important to watch out for recurring monthly fees – some theme providers will charge a monthly fee for access to all the themes in their catalogue, furthermore some may charge a development fee in case you wish to apply the theme across multiple sites.

WordPress Themes are typically designed as an out of the box solution, they are provided as an out of the box solution for webmasters who have little to no design skills or even to web developers who do not have the time to continually redesign websites. However, due to the fact they are an out of the box solution it’s important to be able to control as much of the layout of the site as you possibly can, this means being able to edit all of the various elements on the homepage and maybe even change between a two and three column layout.

Some WordPress themes also come with pre-installed sliders – a slider is an image board that rotates between different images and is usually found at the top of a page. Some webmasters do not like the slider being positioned so prominently on the page and may in fact wish to remove it – it’s important then to be able to either change the images contained in the slider, or even remove it if you so choose.

Forum & Message Board Marketing

Forum & Message Board Marketing

Webmasters need to use every marketing method that they can take advantage of and without using all the methods out there you’ll fall behind your competition quickly. There are plenty of marketing techniques out there that you need to use, and in this article we’re going to talk about the power of forum and message board marketing. You’ve might of already used these techniques in your marketing arsenal and if you have then that’s great, but if you haven’t or you rarely use this technique then you should consider using it more.

There is always at least one forum on every topic and many topics have hundreds of different forums available to them. You should gather a list of the forums in your niche and then join them all. You will need to make some posts on them all and get active in the community. On the forums you’ll be able to add a signature line which will appear at the end of all of your posts. You can use this line to add your website link so that you can get direct clicks and also backlinks. Forum backlinks can build quickly and add a lot of value to your current links. Some forums will require that you make a certain amount of posts before your signature line appears, don’t worry about this though and just patiently wait until you reach the amount of posts. Don’t go spam the boards as you’ll likely be banned for doing so.

For message board marketing you may have to add your link at the end of each of your posts, so make sure that you do so if it is required. There is no point helping out others on message boards unless you’re getting the backlink so be sure that you do in fact get a link for each post. Some popular message boards are the Yahoo message boards which covers basically every niche that you could imagine. You simply help people answer their questions and then you post your link under your answer. This will help you get traffic as these message boards are always busy and get great search engine rankings.

A lot of forums and message boards don’t allow do-follow backlinks which means your links won’t count in the search engines. You should try finding some that are do-follow so that you do in fact gain some backlinks from your hard work, but for popular boards with lots of traffic it isn’t so important. For instance the Yahoo message boards will allow you to post a link but it isn’t do-follow. I still recommend using this board though because it’s one of the busiest and on the internet and can bring in great targeted traffic for the lifetime of your website.

Don’t spam the boards or forums though as you’ll get banned and it will also look unnatural to the search engines if you get a couple hundred links one day and none the next. You should aim for the same amount of posts everyday and split them between the forums and boards you use. This way you’ll be able to not look suspicious to the search engines and they won’t penalize you for unnatural link building which trust me happens and isn’t pretty for that website owner.

What-are-article-directories

What are article directories?

Article directories are sites that will allow you to publish articles online. But why should we write articles and publish in article directories rather than publishing it in our own sites? It’s because the article directories would already be getting lots of traffic and hence if we publish our article in these sites, then our article will be seen by many with much less efforts. But what will we be getting when others see our article? There are many advantages like the ones described below.

For each article that we publish in article sites like ezinearitlcles, we’ll be allowed to put about 3 links in them. And through these links we can make others to visit our site. Not just that, these links will be helping us to get some quality link juice as well. Yup, this is one of the ways to increase backlinks and at the same time search engine ranking of our sites. After you write an article, simply put a link or two to your sites at the end of the article. Yup, its that simple.

This is regarded as one of the easiest way to build backlinks to your sites. Not just that, you’ll be getting free traffic as well. Famous article directories like ezinearticles are viewed daily by millions of people. Most of them are webmasters looking to publish articles in their site. Yup, it’s allowed to copy the articles published in article directories to our sites. But we when do it, we should copy the links as well – that are put at the end of the articles by the publisher of the article. This way, people who publish articles are guaranteed that, if someone is using their articles in their sites, they’ll be getting backlinks from their sites as well. But people won’t be copying crap articles to their site. So, write quality articles and publish them in article directories. This way, you’ll getting a lot of one way, quality backlinks and traffic, free to your sites.

Unique Content vs

Unique Content vs. PLR Content

Bloggers have the decision to make between whether or not they will be using unique content or PLR content on their blogs, now if you don’t know what this means I’ll define it quickly. Unique content is written by either yourself or someone you hire, and when compared to with other articles on the internet it shouldn’t be the same as anything. Now of course a ton of articles will be on the same topic, but if you write it without copying from the internet then it would come up as unique. To check if your articles are unique you should use copyscape.com which only costs $5 for 100 credits. This will give you 100 credits to see if your article is unique which should last you minimum a few months. PLR content or Private Label Right content are articles written by writers who then turn around and sell multiple copies of the same article. Some PLR content is more used then other content, but generally this content isn’t too good. There is a chance the search engine might pick up the content as duplicated and they will then block your site from the search engines. You need to decide if your site is worth the risk of being blocked by the search engines, and if isn’t then don’t use PLR content.

I only use unique content on all of my blogs that I write and from doing so I get all my posts indexed quickly and also bringing in search engine traffic. The search engines absolutely love unique fresh content added to websites and if you consistently add content to your site then you will notice the search engine ranking love start coming in from the likes of Google and Yahoo.

The one problem most webmasters have with unique content is either that it takes too long to write content or it’s too expensive to buy articles that are unique. Now this is mostly true, which comes to the question again of do you think your blog is worth it? If you plan on keeping your blog for a long time and make some revenue from it then you should only post unique content as you want to keep the search engines happy. You also want to post fresh information for your readers because with PLR it gets sent all around the internet and chances are some of your readers will have read the article before. Now if this happens it could mean you have one less visitor coming to your blog now because most people don’t read blogs that use PLR and information that’s everywhere already.

Having unique content is also beneficial for when you decide to sell your blog, because most webmasters won’t even consider buying PLR websites. You may find some new webmasters willing to splash $20 at your PLR content site, but this is hardly worth the effort of even posting PLR content. When you use unique content you will fetch a much higher price when selling your blog, so even if you invest in some content from a writer it generally pays off in the end when you sell your blog. So you can think of buying unique content almost as a low risk investment, simply because you can set-up a site and try promoting something to earn some passive income or you can always turn around and sell the site to get your investment back. This is what I would call a low risk investment when dealing with internet real estate.

Is Buying Links for your Website Safe

Is Buying Links for your Website Safe

Many webmasters frequently get into discussions with one another about whether or not it’s safe to buy links from other webmasters. Now although the search engines frown upon this type of stuff it’s completely safe for you to buy links for your website. As long as you don’t make the links look unnatural then you’ll be completely fine in the search engines, but if you do have unnatural links then you could be looking at getting de-indexed from the search engines.

If you begin buying links in blog networks and other spammy areas of the internet then you’re going to be placing a risk on your website of being punished. I personally wouldn’t recommend buying blog network links that are all associated with each other because they’ll be deemed a link farm and your site will be punished for having a link on them. You should only spend money on links that will help your website increase in the search engines and also page rank. You should be looking for links with high page rank that will move you up for the keyword used as anchor text and also will help increase your sites page rank. You could also buy links with high traffic, but these are harder to find and most of the time the cost outweighs any potential profit you could make which is the point.

There are many forums where you’ll find people selling links on their blogs and websites. Both offer great links and you should try getting both blog and website links. Try to avoid sitewide links when you’re buying links because you don’t want it too appear like a bought link. Ask the owner of the website to place your link on the homepage only. You may also be able to find some webmasters selling links on inner pages of their blogs and websites, which are also great for buying as long as they have page rank. You should be able to pick these inner content links up for cheaper then homepage links as well, and they will send the same amount of link juice so it’s a great way too save some money and purchase more links with. If the page where your link is going doesn’t have page rank then it isn’t even worth looking at too buy because there won’t be any benefits from it.

You’ll also need to make sure that you’re checking out each individual website before you buy a link on it. You’re spending your hard earned money on links so you first want to make sure the person you’re buying the links from is trustworthy. Many people sell links on monthly and yearly terms, but then a week later the link will be taken down by them. Try to avoid these webmasters as there only a huge waste of time and never result in anything good. Things you should look for before buying a link on a website is things such as how many backlinks it has, the page rank of where your link will be, cost, is the domain dropped and what niche it is. Only ever buy links that are relevant with your website because the search engines give far more value to relevant links then links that are opposites of each other.

Make-money-online-selling-signature-links

Make money online selling signature links

If you have been to a webmaster forum like DP, v7n, Netbuilders etc, then you’ll surely be knowing what is a signature. For every post that we make, we’ll be able to promote our signature links. So, if the total number of our post count is 1000, then our signatures will be seen in 1000 places – in other words those signature links would have got 1000 backlinks!

Backlinks are one of the key aspects that decide the page rank of a site. And for increasing the page rank, webmasters buy signature links from others members. At DP, a maximum of four links can be placed in the signature space. So, at DP, through every post, you can promote 4 signature links. And if you want to make some money out of it, then you may sell signature spots.

How much will we be getting by by selling signature spots in webmaster forums? The price is decided by the reputation of the member and through the number of posts the member has made. According to the current situations, if you are with 3000 posts in DP, then you’ll be getting about $15 from one signature spot. And if you are selling all the four signature spots, then you’ll be getting $60 per month. And if you post in forums regularly, then the next month, you’ll be getting more depending on the number of posts that you’ll be with then.

But, if you make unnecessary posts in forums, then you’ll be banned within minutes! Keep that in mind. Moderators of the forums will ban you the same moment, if you are found spamming the forum. So, do things this way. Only make a post, if its gonna benefit someone. This way, you’ll might be getting reputation points also. So, there is double benefit in posting useful posts. Even if you are not with huge number of posts, still you may get a decent amount by selling your signature spots. And that’s, if you visit the forum regularly and help others with useful posts. This way, you’ll be noted by others and hence the chances are high that you’ll be getting more offers than others.
