One of the easiest ways to make money from websites is to sell ad space. You can sell ad blocks of different sizes at different places in your site. And depending on the size and place where you are planning to sell the ad blocks, the money you’ll be getting out of them will vary. Advertisers will look for buying ad blocks that will be getting maximum exposure. So, try to sell ad blocks at places in your sites, where chances of getting a click to the ad blocks is maximum.

But in order to sell ad blocks, your sites should be with decent traffic. Try referring your friends to the sites that you want to promote. And ask them to refer to their friends as well. But a vast amount of the visitors won’t be coming back again to your site – if its not worth a visit again. That means, your sites should be having something special in it for the readers. Then only they’ll come and visit your site again and again. If it’s a blog, then create quality content. And if you keep on posting quality content, then without you even telling to others, they will start referring their friends. They will even bookmark your site so that they would be able to read it on a daily basis.

Even after you get traffic to your sites, it’s not over yet. Once you are with traffic, you should go and find advertisers. One of the best place to look for advertisers would be in webmaster forums like DP, V7n, and Netbuilders. There you’ll be able to sell links, ad blocks, banners etc in your sites. You may even find buyers ready to buy advertising on a long term basis. But in such cases, you’ll have to provide some discount on the price.

If you have been to a webmaster forum like DP, v7n, Netbuilders etc, then you’ll surely be knowing what is a signature. For every post that we make, we’ll be able to promote our signature links. So, if the total number of our post count is 1000, then our signatures will be seen in 1000 places – in other words those signature links would have got 1000 backlinks!

Backlinks are one of the key aspects that decide the page rank of a site. And for increasing the page rank, webmasters buy signature links from others members. At DP, a maximum of four links can be placed in the signature space. So, at DP, through every post, you can promote 4 signature links. And if you want to make some money out of it, then you may sell signature spots.

How much will we be getting by by selling signature spots in webmaster forums? The price is decided by the reputation of the member and through the number of posts the member has made. According to the current situations, if you are with 3000 posts in DP, then you’ll be getting about $15 from one signature spot. And if you are selling all the four signature spots, then you’ll be getting $60 per month. And if you post in forums regularly, then the next month, you’ll be getting more depending on the number of posts that you’ll be with then.

But, if you make unnecessary posts in forums, then you’ll be banned within minutes! Keep that in mind. Moderators of the forums will ban you the same moment, if you are found spamming the forum. So, do things this way. Only make a post, if its gonna benefit someone. This way, you’ll might be getting reputation points also. So, there is double benefit in posting useful posts. Even if you are not with huge number of posts, still you may get a decent amount by selling your signature spots. And that’s, if you visit the forum regularly and help others with useful posts. How to become a webmaster? (Part – 8)

In the last part, we told you how to become a reputed member at webmaster forums. The key is to make informative posts. Yup, its that easy and simple. Here we are gonna tell you something about itraders, which is another way how the reputation of a member is calculated. The more itraders you have, the more reputed you are.

What’s the point in getting reputation and being a reputed member. You might have already asked yourself the above question while you were reading about- how to increase your reputation at a webmaster forum. Being a reputed member has a lot of benefits. Whenever reputed members say something, they are not offended like the posts of new members. You can see it yourself in any webmaster forum. Not just that, your viewpoints and ideas will be noted by the newbies out there. Even experts may follow you if they find you are worth to be followed. This way, the websites or blogs that you are promoting in your signature will also get a large number of clicks. Just think, will you click on the signature link of a new member with just one post? The chances are very low. But what if the member is with more than 3000 posts and with all reputation blobs filled? Chances are that, you’ll be clicking the signature links of that member. But why? That’s because, experts are always experts and we will surely be getting something to learn from them.

Okay, now it’s time time to tell you something about itraders. These are reputation points that members share with each other, after a trade, purchase or a sale. Itraders of members won’t be seen in the posts that they have made outside the BST section of the forum. BST section is the Buy, Sell, Trade section. This is found in many of the reputed forums like DP, V7n, Netbuilders etc. You can increase your itrader count only by dealing with more and more members. Either you should be buying something, trading something or selling something.
