Why You Should Start a Membership Website

Membership websites have been around since the internet began and they’ve always been very popular forms of revenue for webmasters. There are many reasons why you would benefit from starting your own membership website and we’re going to look at some of those reasons today. Membership websites are now more popular then ever due to software programs coming out that makes setting up a membership website a breeze. There are also over a dozen payment processors to choose from to process your member’s payments which help make things easy.

Basically you’ll be required to set-up your website and then from there you’ll only need to promote it and add updates. There are many choices you need to make when you’re setting up the website in the early stages. You’ll need to decide what you want to offer in the member’s area, and you should be using more then one type of content in your member’s area. For instance if you have a webmaster membership website you should have articles, reports, eBook, software, templates and anything else you can think of. People like seeing lots of options in the member’s area, even though they won’t use most of it they like knowing that you offer enough value for the money. Once you’ve chosen what’s going to be in your member’s area you need to get it done and add it in. You also need to set-up your payment processor and decide whether it will be monthly, yearly or one-off payment. This is strictly preference and you can choose what you want, but generally you should choose monthly.

With monthly recurring payments you’ll be making a stable income from your membership website and this is the goal. There is no point marketing your membership website and then selling one-off payments because then once the crowd joins you won’t make anymore money and you’ll still need to update it. I would go with monthly recurring payments and make sure you offer enough weekly updates so that your clients want to stay a member.

Once you have a membership website with members and recurring payments rolling in you’ll only need to work on updates for the website. This could be outsourced at this point in time since you’ll be making good money and then it’s on complete auto-pilot. You won’t need to do anything except whatever promotions you want to do, and whatever communication you want to make with the members. You should play a role in the communication because people like to talk with the owner and many people will also have questions. You should just make a forum and that will make it very easy for everyone to communicate.

Importance of One Way Links

When you’re a webmaster you need to build one way links to your blog or site in order to make sure that you increase your search engine rankings. One way links are the hardest links to get because they involve the most amount of work to get, but this is why they are valuable in the search engines and highly sought after by webmasters. There are lots of ways you can gain one way links to your site or blog and they’re all typically useful in some way but there are some that will rank better then others.

The best type of one way link to receive is through another site or blog related to yours where they give you an in-content one way link.

This can happen from you posting great content on your niche and sometimes you can also ask to be mentioned on a blog in return for content or links on other sites of yours. If you can build your links this way then you stand an amazing chance at getting lots of search engine rankings in time.

Another few methods you can use when you build one way links to your site or blog are article directories, directories in your niche, social bookmarking and blog commenting. All four of these methods can get you lots of one way links and in time they will end up helping your site or blog rank well. The methods above don’t have a sudden impact on your search rankings but as they start to age the rankings will start to improve.

You can build hundreds of one way links to your blogs and sites by using the methods outlines above and if you’re serious about taking your sites to the next level then you need to spend the time building links. You won’t really see fast results from your efforts but as your links age they will begin to rank better in the search engines and you’ll soon begin to have great rankings.

To make money off of your sites you need search engine traffic for the most part, well as long as you want to make money without money then that’s your option. If you want to spend money to make money then you can try other methods, but for the most part if you want to make money without spending any then search engine traffic is your best friend.

You can make a lot of money through the right keywords and you’ll need to figure out which keywords you should optimize on your blog or site. Ideally you should rank for many terms in the search engines and in time you will begin to, you just need to always promote your blogs and sites with one way link building campaigns to get the rankings.

Once you’ve achieved the rankings you want then you also need to still continue building one way links so that you hold the position and noone steals it from you.

How to start an online business

An online business can’t be started if you don’t have the time to manage your business. You should be a full time worker doing things needed for promoting and improving your online business. If you are already engaged in some other things, then it’s better, you think about starting an online business after you finish up those works. An online business can be started even by a student or a full time worker. You can resign your day job and start doing business online if you think, it’s worth it. But you should be well prepared to face all kinds of consequences.

Similar is the case with students who are looking to start an online business. If you are planning to do both these things simultaneously, then you’ll surely mess up completely. Concentrate on any ome of the the two things – either your studies or your online business. If you are just planning to opt for university studies and if you don’t have the money for it at the moment, then you may take a break, and start doing business online in order to earn some cash to pay the tuition fees.

Before you move any further, think about something that you’ll be able to achieve online. It can be an online store selling templates, it can be websites teaching some stuffs, it can be blogs, it can be forums etc. But once you decide with a business, stick with it and think about things that you should be doing in order to make some money out of it. You can get ideas to start an online business from friends of yours. You can even search websites online, in order to get some fresh ideas. If you are good at things like programming, designing, writing etc, then you can sell these services to others for some easy cash. So, think about it – you’ll get something for sure.

How to become a webmaster? (Part – 2)

In the first part of our “how to become a webmaster” series, we’ve discussed about the first step that you should be taking in order to become a successful webmaster. It was about registering in webmaster forums, where you’ll be learning the basics. It is to be understood that, no one is born as an expert, people become experts after practicing what they have learned. But for practicing something, you should be first of all learning something. With nothing in your brain, you won’t get anywhere. So, as we have mentioned in the first part, the key to success is to learn the basics and then practice it. In this part we’ll be concentrating on this topic.

If you want to become a webmaster, then one of the best place where you’ll be getting the right coaching is from webmaster forums. You won’t have to spend any money for it. But you’ll have to spend something else. That’s nothing, but time. Only if you are having time to spend at webmaster forums, you’ll be learning something from there. You won’t be able to learn everything the very first day. You may have to spend days or even months. That will depend on the skills that you are with, at the moment. If you know something about webmasters and what they does, then things will be easy for you. On the other hand, if you know nothing, then it’ll take you some time to learn the basics. Again, nothing is impossible, if you are with the determination to learn it at any cost, then time is the only thing that should be with you. And you’ll learn everything in no time. No doubt about it.

So that’s it, there is no need to make any investment, there is no need to hire any personal coach to teach you things, there is no need to attend any classes neither. All you have to do is – make yourself prepared to spend some time everyday, for learning the basic things at webmaster forums. This way, in no time, you’ll be learning the basics of becoming a webmaster.

How to Retain Your Blog Readership

There are countless articles published on the internet talking about how you can build traffic to your blog and there seems to be an unlimited amount of resources to building your traffic. The only problem is that most of the traffic generation techniques that are being taught don’t send return visitors. I simply mean that you may get traffic by completing certain things like article marketing, social bookmarking and link building but the traffic typically won’t sustain and everyday you’ll need to regain the traffic. The point of blogging is to have a solid readership that comes back to your blog on a daily basis, and this is when you can start making good money with your blog so you need to do your best at retaining visitors. There are some great methods at retaining your visitors and building a readership and I’m going to briefly talk about some of these methods with you right now.

Unique Themes

You should make sure that your blog uses a unique theme, simply because too many people use the free blog themes and they don’t stand out anymore. If you use a unique theme that is attractive you can build your blogs branding while also gaining a solid readership. People are also more inclined to read blogs that are designed nicely according to surveys recently conducted. You can buy a coded WordPress theme for under $200 nowadays on many webmaster forums so the investment isn’t going to make you reach too deeply into your pockets.

Great Content

An attractive theme isn’t going to be the only thing you need in order to stand out from the rest of the blogging world and you’re going to need to put a lot of effort into your content as well. Writing blog posts is an ongoing process that you need to do everyday, but you need to make sure that you do in fact post daily so that when you begin to grow a readership they have content to read that is fresh. The search engines also love content so the more you post on your blog with useful content the more search engine placements you’ll begin ranking for.

RSS Feed Subscriber

You need to make sure you utilize the RSS feed subscriber which allows your readers to read your blog from a number of different blog readers on the internet. The more RSS feed subscribers you have the better because this means that people want to keep your blog nearby so they can continue reading it. You should have a widget in your header or sidebar that allows all of your readers to join your RSS feed and there is also a plug-in that you should use. The plug-in will post a short line at the bottom of each of your blog posts automatically that asks the reader to join your RSS feed and gives them the link to join. This is a great way at reminding people about your RSS feed and can result in more readership.

As you can tell there are quite a few methods that you can use to make your readership stick around and keep coming back to your blog. You should also keep reading the internet for other great sources because there are more ways to retain your blog readership other then the ones I listed above. You should also be trying to make your blog more enjoyable for the readers because after all the success of your blog depends solely on the readers.

There are a ton methods that bloggers can use to make money on there blog but some are less known then others and often bloggers don’t use some of the most profitable and effective methods of monetization. A lot of bloggers use affiliate networks, me included but the fact is there is also another method to make more money. If you’re wondering what that method is, it’s simply to either make your own products or to buy products with master resale rights or private label rights. Make sure they come with the rights listed above so that you have the complete documentation to be able to sell the products or else you could run into legal troubles for illegally selling a product you’re not aloud to. Believe me when I tell you this it’s definitely something you don’t want to get into because it’s a battle you’ll lose nine times out of time and many product owners will go through the troubles of suing you.

Once you buy some products with master resale rights you can then create a review for it and make a new page on your blog selling the product. You now will be able to retain 100% of the money that you sell the product for instead of only receiving a commission like you do from affiliates. This is a method often overlooked by your average webmaster and it’s why lots of A list bloggers are making such good money. If you notice most of the products they promote are either their own products or products they retain full profit from because of owning rights to sell it. There is still money in affiliate networks and I don’t recommend selling your own products until you’ve got an established blog, but once you do and you have your marketing techniques down to a science then promoting your own products is amazingly beneficial.

There are also benefits of selling your own product or a product with master resale rights over selling affiliate products. The main benefit would obviously be that you keep all the profit and you don’t give any of it to anyone. Apart from that though there are still so other benefits like the fact you can set whatever price you choose for the products and also how you promote them. Many affiliate products have huge sets of terms and conditions which usually save their butt, when you sell your own product then you make the rules of how everything goes and you simply do as you please.

Selling your own products or products you’ve bought rights to is definitely the best way to earn a full-time income on the internet. One product can make sales for years down the road without doing anything except a bit of promotion in the early stages. There are lots of products on the internet that you can buy rights to as well you just need to make sure that you buy the right products that will sell. There is no point in buying products that are ten years old because the information will be outdated and you’ll have trouble making any sales.
