In the early stages you shouldn’t really be thinking about monetizing your blog and instead you should be more focused on providing good content so that you can build a readership. Once the foundation is laid and you have a steady stream of traffic then you can begin to play with the many different monetization options. I feel some bloggers will put ads on their blogs way to early and most readers get turned off from this. If you’re planning on having a long-term successful blog then you shouldn’t even consider using ads on your blog until you’re well into being established in your niche. Once you have a certain trust factor secured with your readers then adding monetization methods can pay off greatly.

The first type of ad many people start with is cost per click ads and the most popular network for this is of course Google Adsense which I highly recommend joining. If you haven’t already registered with Google Adsense then this should be the first thing that you do before anything else. Adsense is very slow in the beginning but if you have traffic then eventually your earnings will go up. You’ll need to play with ad placement on your blog to ensure that you’re optimizing your ad space to the best of your abilities, but you shouldn’t be posed with much hassle doing this. Adsense pays millions of people every month and have a very good reputation which is why so many people use them to make money from their blogs.

Another method commonly used to monetize your blog is through affiliate offers and sales. You can either get leads and receive a set fee or a commission for products you sell. Selling products is far more profitable then getting leads but in the beginning we all need to start somewhere and often time’s leads are easier then selling products. There are countless numbers of affiliates for you to choose from and you should try sticking with only one or two until you reach minimum payment.

Finally you could choose to sell your own advertisements on the blog, usually you’d post on a webmaster forum in a Link Sales section and try selling links or banners. This can be really profitable if you can manage to keep a high page rank and decent alexa rating. There are still other ways for bloggers to monetize their efforts but that’s the main three ways you should use to monetize, although selling links you need to be careful and make sure they don’t appear as paid links. Google frowns upon paid links and for this reason you should be really careful when thinking about selling links on your blogs. Selling links in the content is a lot risky and safer for you to do then offering sitewide blogroll links so you need to make the decision on how you’ll sell links if in fact you even choose to. Monetizing your blog gives you the chance to earn a nice income off of your hard work and you should make sure to capitalize on the chances. Once the readership is high then you should implement ads and affiliate offers that pertain to the topic of your blog.

Are you thinking to quit your day job? If so, why? If you are thinking that you’ll be making more money working online – then I’d say – you should think once again. It’s not because I don’t think there is enough opportunity. But it’s because there are a lot of things that you may not be knowing.

Money can be made online through different ways. But it may not be bringing you money on a monthly basis like your day job if you don’t do things the right way. There are a lot of people, earning some real money online on a monthly basis. But they would be much experienced than you. The benefit of doing a day job is that – you’ll be guaranteed an amount at the end of the month whatsoever – whether you get works or not. The company for which you are working is responsible for delivering you money at the right time. But if you are gonna work online, there is no such time frame or guarantee that you’ll be getting money. You may or may not get money earlier or later than a particular month.

Your online earnings will depend on the work that you are doing online. If you are working directly for the clients, then you may be either getting the amount upfront or after completing the work half or fully. On the other hand if there is a middleman between you and the actual client, then you may have to wait some time before you get the payment in your hand.

If you are with some skills like – designing, programming, writing, or something like that, then you could opt for this track – yup, you can make money online – and even quit your day job. But if you don’t have any such skills, then you’ll have to really work hard. And it won’t be a wise decision for you to quit your day job, if you fall under the second category of people that we mentioned above.

Adsense can bring in a lot of money if you are with a lot of sites. Suppose you are with 50 blogs. And on an average, if you are getting $1 from clicks from each of the blogs per day, then your monthly earnings from the 50 blogs will be around $1500. It may sound easy and simple. But its difficult to accomplish.

For running 50 blogs, you should be ready to deliver at least a single post in each of the 50 blogs on a daily basis. If you think you’ll be able to make 50 posts for your blogs then it’s okay. Otherwise you should look for ways to get it done. For that you may hire article writers who would be willing to provide you articles on a daily basis for a pretty good price. Don’t always go with cheap services – if you want to make a quality blog, then hire a good article writer who knows what he writes. It can one way or other way, help you in making money out of your blogs.

But do you think doing so, you’ll be making any profit? There is no point in taking risk. If you are damn serious about making money online through adsense, then try doing these things for a month. Yeah, I’m telling you to make 50 posts per day, on your blogs yourself. It’s hard work for sure – and I know that very well. But you’ll see some easy money coming in your way if you are going to do like that. Also, there won’t be any investment other than the price for the domain and hosting. These days, hosting accounts can be bought freely – so you’ll have to spend money only for buying the domains.

Running 50 sites on your own, for a month, will make you an experienced guy. From then on, without anyone’s help you’ll be able to continue making money online from your blogs. Earning $1 per day from a blog through adsense won’t be a difficult task if you’ll be able to deliver content on them on a daily basis. And ya, you should be promoting it a bit – at the same time. Doing all these things may feel a bit untidy. But believe me, its worth every minute that you’ll be spending on your blogs. After a month or two, you’ll be with the required money to hire professionals to do these things for you.

If you are thinking of making money by blogging, then you should be with a lot of blogs. With just one or two blogs, you won’t be getting anywhere near to even $ 100 per month. But before you think about making money this way, you should be having experience running at least a single blog in the past. If you are already having a blog of your own, then it’s okay. Otherwise start with one blog, and keep blogging for at least a month, before you follow what we are gonna mention here.

It’s better to start with 20 blogs. These 20 blogs should be about different niches. Articles should be posted in these blogs on a daily basis. If you are good at blogging, then it’s better to post an article in each of the 20 blogs on your own. This way, after a month you’ll be with 30 posts in each of the 20 blogs. And if these blogs are with decent traffic, then you would be able to sell links in them. On an average you’ll be getting at least $ 10 per month from a blog. So, from 20 blogs you’ll be getting $200. If you sell, like 10 links in each of the blogs, then you’ll be getting like $50 from a blog. And if that’s the case, your monthly earnings from the 20 blogs will be around $ 1000.

One thing to remember before creating blogs is that – the domain names should be good ones. It can help you in getting higher page ranks for your blogs. A high PR blog will help you earn more money online, per month, than a lower one. You should also do a lot of promotions to your blogs. Getting backlinks can do miracles to your blogs. So, go for it, if you think you’ll be able to do it on your own. Otherwise hire someone to do it for you.

And if you are putting adsense, in the blogs, then your earnings will be even more than what we have mentioned above. After you continue with such a plan for about 3-4 months, you’ll be with the money to hire workers to do all these things. From then on things will be pretty automated – and you can concentrate just on earning more and more money out of the blogs – without doing all those time consuming works.

As promised in the last part of our “how to become a webmaster” series, in this part, we’ll be telling you more about signatures and how to utilize it the the best way.

For every post that you make in the webmaster forum, you’ll be able to show a maximum of four links using your signature space. If you want to promote just single site, then you can make the title longer. Otherwise you’ll have to use shorter titles for each of the links. That’s because there is a limit in the number of characters that can be placed in the signature space. So use it wisely. But you may, find some other cool forums like netbuilders, which will allow you to put more than four links.

Now lets learn how to make some easy money online by selling signature links. The earnings from selling signatures will depend on the number of posts that you have made. The more your posts in the forum, the more will be your earnings out of selling signature links. Thinking that you’ll be getting more money, don’t go and spam the forum, you’ll be noted by the moderators of the forum if you attempt to do so and within few minutes, your account will be banned permanently.

The current market price for a single link spot is $5 if the member has made about 1000 posts in the forum. And if you are selling all the four, then with that much number of posts, you’ll be making around $20 per month. But remember your primary aim should not be to make money by selling signature links. Your aim should be to learn the basics of becoming a webmaster. During your journey in becoming a successful webmaster you’ll have automatically made some decent number of posts. Remember that there are different rules in different webmaster forums regarding what to post, how to post, and where to post. So, before you attempt posting, read the rules and regulations of the forum carefully. One of the webmaster forums which is with easy rules that can be followed by anyone is Netbuilders.org – just create an account there and feel the difference. Also, they don’t ban members for no reasons like some other forums. But, if you do spamming, then they will do it surely.
