Affiliate Marketing MLM Combination

Affiliate marketing and MLM (otherwise known as network marketing or multi-level marketing) are considered two separate business models. But in reality, a good network marketer will use an affiliate marketing MLM combination to create other streams of income. Other than those which come from his or her particular MLM business. On the other hand, a skilled affiliate marketer might also consider joining an MLM in order to leverage their efforts. While affiliate marketers make money each time they sell a product or service that they are promoting, an affiliate network marketer can also make money off of the products and services that their downline sells, or the others that they recruit into their business. Their are many affiliate marketing MLM programs to choose from. An MLM funded proposal is an example of this. These types of business models are designed to capture the interest of the entrepreneurial type of person; who is looking for help with starting a business from home. Even more specifically, these folks are researching network marketing or a specific MLM company. The funded proposal is a good way to build up a contact list of people who are interested in home business or MLM businesses. These proposals offer what these types of people are looking for: training, support, help, strategies, etc. The funded proposal can be free to join with a later option to upgrade, or it can cost a relatively small fee. Then you can choose to promote the funded proposal yourself or you can take advantage of their promotional tools which are often available at an extra charge. As others join the funded proposal under your personal link, you then get their names and contact information and can continue to keep in touch with them in order to promote other products and/or services that are related to what they are looking for or to promote your own MLM opportunity. In addition, you can earn commissions when people join you in your funded proposal. While these are generally not enough for you to make a living off of, you can funnel these profits into more advertising or other business costs. The key to being successful with the affiliate marketing MLM combination is to build a responsive list and offer them exactly what they are looking for. If you have someone on your list that has signed up for MLM training, then you can continue to offer them products and services that are related to that. If someone on your list has signed up for information about getting into the MLM business, you can show them why they would want to join you in your MLM and on your team. And if you are already an example of someone who is creating multiple streams of income with affiliate marketing, then you are more likely to get a "yes" from them when it comes to them joining your MLM. They can learn from you and pass this information on to their downline as well.

How to Increase Traffic to Your Affiliate Marketing Website

Having an affiliate marketing website will do you little good if it is not well-ranked in the search engines. If you are well-ranked, on the other hand, your site will come up when someone does a search for the types of products and or services you are offering, or information that is relevant to that. There are many ways that you can increase your site’s rankings. Here are just a few of them.

First of all, you should try to add new content to your website or blog on a regular basis. A good rule of thumb is to do this about 2 times a week. If you’re stuck about what to write about, do a product review, or take an article that you’ve written and break it up into more detailed points. You can also do an article about a video that is relevant, or an e-book that you’ve read.

Next, an easy way to get your website indexed is to submit it to directories. Many directories are free and some charge you to submit your site but they offer greater visibility. There are thousands of directories to choose from. Try to add your site to 10 to 20 directories a month, or you can hire a person or a service to do it for you for not too much investment.

Article directories are another great asset of affiliate marketers. While it does take some time to write articles and submit them to the directories, it is completely free and very effective. There are two schools of thoughts on this. Some say that you can submit your article to the top three directories, and others say it works better to submit them to hundreds of directories. If you do choose to submit them to many directories, you might want to consider investing in some article submission software.

Making use of forums are another way that you can establish both credibility and links to your site. Try to stay active in at least one forum by asking genuine questions and answering what you can. If you can keep up with it, try to contribute at least one comment per day. This will definitely generate links to your affiliate marketing website. Use the same principle to post comments on highly ranked blogs. If possible, comment on blogs that are ranked higher than your website or blog is.

Use socialmarker to bookmark your site on some of the social bookmarking sites. Do not bookmark your site on all the sites at one time or in one day. Instead, do it in a randome fashion. Bookmark your site with one social website on one day, along with some other sites, and maybe the next day bookmark your site twice along with some other sites, and maybe skip a day of bookmarking your site.

These are just some ways to get your affiliate marketing website ranked to get more traffic.

There are quite a few new plug-ins out there for WordPress which are specifically designed for affiliate marketers and assisting them in increasing there revenues. There are plug-ins which you can purchase that will input datafeeds from different affiliates such as Ebay and Commission Junction. The datafeeds are usually made up of all the products that each affiliate has to offer. When you set-up the datafeed it automatically uploads the products picture, title and description into your blog.

It would take you literally weeks or months in order to input the same data that these wordpress plug-ins can do in minutes. The thought of creating a product page for thousands of products has never even crossed my mind and I don’t think I’d ever consider doing it myself. On the other hand I don’t mind spending $100-$200 on a WordPress plug-in that will save me months of work.

You need to spend money in most cases to make money online. There are opportunities to make money online without spending a penny, but you’re limited in what you can do. Imagine for instance you own a golf blog and you currently only make $5/day from Adsense. If you implement a datafeed from one of Commission Junctions golf affiliate stores then you would be able to offer your visitors thousands of gold products. Over time you could become a full-fledged e-commerce store that sells popular golf supplies to your blog visitors.

Typically you’ll get commission anywhere from 5-15% on your sales which is a lot more then you make using Adsense. Affiliates always make more then people who use Adsense and it’s where the money is at for webmasters. The problem is most people don’t know how to get involved or start selling products, and therefore they limit themselves to there Adsense money.

Even if you have dabbled with affiliate marketing then you know how hard it can be to try and set-up product pages. It’s easy to set-up the first few, but then it becomes repetitive and usually the job goes unfinished for weeks. Each of the different plug-ins out there is different in appearance, but for the most part they have the same features and are the same price. Remember the theme doesn’t matter as you’ll be using your own wordpress theme, but the way the auctions appear is important unless you know some coding to customize it. If you don’t know any coding though then you’ll need to make sure that you buy a plug-in that is attractive enough for you.

Thousands of affiliates already are using datafeeds in there websites and most of them have mentioned increases in there revenues. The bloggers who don’t promote and market there blogs won’t be very successful, but if you do then I guarantee you make more money utilizing a datafeed importer wordpress plug-in. Allow it to do all of the work and you sit there and cash the checks.

WordPress Plugins for Affiliate Marketers

Shawn Collins of blog.affiliatetip.com talks about WordPress plugins that are popular with affiliate marketers. Q What are the top WordPress plugins that an affiliate needs? A: It really varies, depending on the type of affiliate you are, as some networks have plugins, but if you’re not promoting those networks, it doesn’t really matter. There are also WordPress plugins that accomplish tasks that not every affiliate needs. In the latest Affiliate Summit AffStat Report, affiliates were asked, “Which affiliate marketing related plugins and widgets are you currently using?” The results were somewhat skewed towards affiliates promoting products, as 20.7% stated they used the Amazon Reloaded for WordPress plugin. This was followed by the ShareASale Make a Widget plugin at 14.1%, the WP-Marketer plugin at 9.8%, and LinkShare accounts for 26.1% across their three plugins. Also, there was the DataFeedFile.com Featured Product Plugin with 5.4% and the DataFeedr plugin with 2.2%. And there is the Avantlink Widget plugin and the Simple Link Cloaker plugin. I use the Pretty Link plugin to shorten my affiliate URLs. My suggestion would be to check the blogs of the networks you promote, because there aren’t really top plugins for all affiliates.
