question how to take an sql external database and integrat it in wordpress and layout the data via wordpress
thank you dreek
@TheMelanieTube Sorry but I’m not sure what you are asking for. All of the files are saved in the wp-content directory in themes. Is that the question
@TheMelanieTube You have to save the theme folder in the themes folder. The theme folder is in the folder named wp-content in WordPress. You can also install themes in WordPress by uploading the zipped theme. You do that on theme page under appearance on your wordpress dashboard
dear derek, im having a terrible problem with the charset.. i have problems with the special characters like Ñ and the accents. i made my wp theme following your tutorial. how i can fix that? thanks in advance!
@derekbanas tyvm! go to my website and click on I LIKE button on the following post that is using special characters (my 1st language is spanish) then go to your facebook wall and see whats the problem… the special characters are changed to these weird simbols. please take a look. tyvm again. the post is: donvodki . com/?p=261
@donvodki That seems to be a Facebook issue. They don’t recognize the symbol ñ It seems you have to replace the special characters this way ñ= ñ and Ñ= Ñ
So you’d have to do something like This is a Ñ to get that character to show up. I hope that helps.
Thanks Derek, this video has been really helpful to me. We all appreciate it.
I did find a mistake in the video though, that’s been causing me trouble until just now. On your video you write bloginfo(‘template-directory’); when in fact it is bloginfo(‘template_directory’); – Just a warning to anyone else that had this problem.
