Great tutorial. How do I check the messages sent me through the contact form? Do I need to give WordPress my forward email address so I can get those messages? Thanks
@AnnaNovak123 Under the contact form settings page you can set the email address that you want the form to send to. Whenever someone fills out the form you will then get an email with the information inside of it.
I, too, am a coding idiot so this was a lifesaver. Trying to set up a blog/website for the documentary film I am working on so all of these tuts really help!
talk about blog ignorance. I’m trying to add a plugin but I don’t even see a category for “Plug-Ins”. I have a wordpress blog but I see nothing that says plug-in. Do I have to upgrade or should I be able to use plugins with the free wordpress blog?
Hi there: thanks for the great video. I am wondering if you can tell me how I can customize the form to have a border outside the input fields. I wonder if the theme I am using is overriding. I have a white bg and the fields have no border. Any thoughts would be great!

@hlmurphy01 Yeah usually the theme CSS will control how the fields display. You can try searching through the style.css file and see if there is any styling related to forms or input boxes. Hope that helps…
Question. What if I want to use a WordPress variable in the email?
Example. The post/page title as the default email subject or even just include that info in the subject.
I’ve tried dumping some php in there with no luck.
Interesting…I’ve never noticed that before. I’ll let you know if I can figure it out.
thank you. I am a wordpress idiot and that helped.

I simply couldn’t figure out how to add a contact page until I found your video. You made it a breeze. Thank you.
Thanks a million! nice easy to follow video, now i have contact form 7 on my site.
I dont receive emails from sent contact forms 🙁
@MajorMoyo90 Do you have a valid email address in the mail to section of the contact form setup page?
@zoopmedia yes, I do
That’s weird. If it’s saying it’s been sent but you are not getting anything it might have something to do with the server you are on.
@MajorMoyo90 I also have the same problem, even though the message said it was sent.

It does not work on my site… It says that it has sent a mail… but it does not come in (its a gmail adress and I checked the spam map…).
