Knowing the difference between Do-Follow and No-Follow Links

Knowing the difference between Do-Follow and No-Follow Links

Not everyone knows the difference between a do-follow link and a no-follow link, but they are two links that differ by a lot and you should make sure you know how they differ. If you have no-follow links then the links won’t be counted towards any search engine rankings, but if the link is do-follow then you will get a boost in your search engine rankings for the given keyword phrase that the link is under. Do-follow links is the only type of links that will help you when trying to help you search engine rankings or when trying to raise your page rank. Not a lot of the links that you build will be no-follow and if you’re wasting your time on building no-follow links then you need to reconsider how you’re spending your time.

When you comment on a blog you should make sure that you spend time only commenting on the blogs that have do-follow links enabled. Usually a blogger will show you that their blog is do-follow by showing some image near the comment box that says something like U-Comment – I-Follow. This means that the blog should be do-follow and that the links will count towards helping you in the search engines. Not too many bloggers allow this though on their blogs, and when you do find them it’s hard to find any pages on the blog with page rank that you can comment on. Finding these links is over half the battle that you will face when searching for these links, but once you have them then you can re-use them on all of your blogs which can help you out in the long run.

Certain links on many of the social bookmarking sites are also no-follow, but these should still be pursued by you as a blogger because they offer an initial traffic surge. It only takes a couple minutes to do and will help your blog in the long run with building an established traffic base. Even if a link isn’t do-follow it can still be profitable pending it brings you in a lot of clicks, so sometimes it’s wise to get some links in high traffic areas even if they are no-follow links.

Most of your links that you’ve built in the past will most likely be no-follow links since there always abundant and easy to get. Once you find a couple high rankings pages that have do-follow enabled though then you should be able to increase your page rank and search engine rankings with just a couple links. It’s not always the amount of links that matters for search engine rankings as you’ll learn. For instance one of my blogs has thousands of no-follow links and is PR0 and another one of my blogs has roughly 100 backlinks and is a PR4 because it has strong do-follow backlinks.

You should also make sure that you remember the use of the different links when you blog on your own blog as well, because there is no point giving someone a do-follow link when they shouldn’t get one. If all of the links on your blog are do-follow then it could also hurt your search engine rankings simply because of all the outgoing links that you will have on your blogs. If you make the link no-follow then it won’t be credited a backlink from your blog which means that it won’t hurt your page rank or rankings in the search engines at all. Often people need to use a link in their blog posts which if you post daily can add up to a lot of outgoing links fairly quickly, so to avoid this make sure you use the no-follow attribute when adding your links to your posts.

Getting traffic is not something impossible. If you have time to spend online for your sites, then you’ll be getting traffic free of charge. First of all, you should make the habit of reading blogs regularly. This will make you comment on posts. This in turn, will give backlinks and traffic to your sites. This is just one of the many ways to get free traffic to your sites.

I know you’ll be having a lot of other methods in your minds. But don’t go for spamming – it’s not good in the long run – it can even create a bad impression on your sites as well. Why should you be doing all those spamming works, if you can get traffic easily, the natural way. Online communities can bring in a lot of traffic to your sites. People have a natural tendency to visit others sites. And this is something which we should make use of. You should be staying active in various online communities helping others and interacting with others. You won’t be feeling as if you are doing these things for driving traffic to your site. But it’ll be easy and fun for you.

After you create a good reputation over online communities, then slowly you can start to promote your sites. Again, don’t go for spamming online communities. Why can’t you do things the right way? There will be places to enter your website urls – enter at just those places! Yeah, doing just that, won’t bring you decent traffic – you should find some other ways as well. If you have accounts in forums, then you would have come across signatures and other such stuffs. Promote your website links using the signature spots.

You can try orkut, facebook, myspace and other such online communities as well. Once you join these sites, you’ll surely be meeting people like you – who have registered there with the primary aim of promoting their sites. After staying active at these sites for a week or two, you’ll start learning their tricks and tips without they even telling you. So, don’t bother to ask them personally, you’ll come to know about them automatically. Just wait and see.

There are many people who have blogs in the same niche and many people own multiple blogs in the same niche and there is a reason for this. The most obvious reason is that you’ll make more money from having more blogs, and this is true but it takes more work. You need to be prepared to spend a lot of time on your blogs and once you start opening multiple blogs your workload starts doubling and tripling. The advantage of making your blogs in the same niche is that you’ll be able to write content and do your promotion at the same time for every blog. If you had blogs spread across different niches then your marketing and promotion would need to be different for each niche most likely which means you wouldn’t have enough time to properly run the blogs and make them successful. If you run the blogs in the same niche then the promotion and marketing can be done at the same time for the blogs and although it will take a bit longer to submit everything each day it could really boost your revenue. Ideally you’d target different keywords for each blog because there is no point competing with yourself for keywords, and there are enough keywords in every niche that it should never come down to you needing to optimize a blog for keywords that you’ve already optimized on another blog. Having multiple blogs can have many benefits down the road and we’ll talk about some of them throughout the rest of this article.

More Blogs = More Profit

It’s simple to say that multiple blogs can earn more money, there is an argument that one big blog could earn more, but more webmasters say multiple blogs makes more profit and also makes promotion easier. Ideally that is what you want and why you should target different areas of the niche with each new blog you create in the network.

Owning the Niche

Although you’ve already gotten a niche blog for one topic you could always start creating blogs in the same general niche but using different niches in that general niche. For instance you could blogs for all the celebrities you like and then interlink them together and make a niche network. You’ll begin to own the niche with many powerful blogs and can make a lot of money through this method.

Having blogs in the same niche is very beneficial and it can also lead to more money down the road. If you have ten decent blogs compared to one good blog you’ll usually make more revenue on the multiple blogs and when it comes time to sell them you’ll make more typically as well. Unless you have a blog that is a complete authority in the topic then going with multiple niche blogs is a wiser decision. You can then also sell only apart of your niche blog network and you have the option then to keep some of the revenue coming in monthly and also selling a piece of the network for quick cash. Niche blogs I feel dominate general blogs, especially nowadays with there being millions of blogs on the internet now.

Don’t waste your time figuring out the little things, or updating your blog the hard way.  Get wordpress training so that you can truly get out of WordPress what you need.  WordPress has tools and automation that will do so many tasks for you that you would be amazed about.  Some of the things most people couldn’t even think up if they want to.  The tools and programs that go with WordPress and that are already within WordPress are so robust that it would be silly to not get the proper WordPress training.

Time is money, so don’t attempt to figure out WordPress on your own.  Learn wordpress unplugged and know more than your competition in no time.  It’s one WordPress training that you should not miss!
